COVID Injections Built on GMO Technology — Bayer Sues for Billions

Pharma giants used Monsanto’s decades-old genetic engineering methods to make spike proteins “work” in COVID shots

Bayer, owner of Monsanto, is suing Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson (J&J) for using Monsanto’s patented genetically modified organism (GMO) technology in the production of COVID-19 injections.

The lawsuits reveal that the pharmaceutical companies used mRNA optimization techniques developed by Monsanto in the 1980s—originally intended to create pest- and virus-resistant crops—to stabilize genetic sequences and dramatically increase protein expression in the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.

This patented technology, called the “118 Patent,” removes destabilizing sequences from genes and substitutes alternative codons, boosting protein production. Bayer’s complaint details how Pfizer’s Comirnaty and Moderna’s Spikevax incorporated roughly 100 such genetic modifications, while J&J’s viral vector injection employed the same GMO-based gene-engineering methods to stabilize spike protein production.

Bayer is not trying to stop the injections but is seeking a share of the billions in revenue generated from these products. Pfizer and BioNTech earned over $93 billion from Comirnaty, while Moderna earned $3.2 billion from Spikevax in 2024 alone.

McCullough Foundation Epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher commented on the lawsuit:

“One of the world’s largest agrochemical companies—responsible for mass harm through its highly toxic herbicide glyphosate—is now in federal court claiming that the deadly COVID-19 ‘vaccine’ platforms were built on stolen GMO technology. Welcome to clown world.”

The legal filings make it clear: the technology behind COVID injections is not purely pharmaceutical—it stems directly from decades of GMO engineering in crops.

Canadians should be aware that these injections introduce spike proteins engineered using patented GMO techniques originally developed for plants.

CHD Canada encourages Canadians to research, ask questions and make informed decisions about what is being introduced into their bodies.
