Save Our Access to Natural Health Products with Shawn Buckley for NHPPA
CHD Alberta Provincial Director Sherry Strong recently sat down with constitutional lawyer and NHPPA President Shawn Buckley to discuss Health Canada’s plans for the natural health product industry in Canada.
All the things that we didn’t want to have happen to the natural health product industry are now happening—all at once.
Some industry members have thought NHPPA’s warnings were exaggerated for nearly 16 years. Now, in what feels like one fell swoop, Health Canada is moving forward with multiple initiatives that will assault the natural health industry and consumer access to natural health products and practices.
Bill C-47 is now law. This Budget Bill contained several sections that will significantly limit the availability of natural health products in Canada.
Take Action:
- Educate yourself about what Health Canada has set into motion in 2023.

- Send a letter to your MPs and Bureaucrats. Rather than asking our MPs to remove sections 500 to 504 from Bill C-47, we must demand they repeal those sections.
