DNA Contamination in Every Dose: New Study Sounds Alarm on Pfizer & Moderna mRNA Shots
A new peer-reviewed study out of Ontario has confirmed a shocking public health risk: ALL Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 mRNA injections — including the latest bivalent and XBB.1.5 formulations — contain billions of DNA fragments, far exceeding international safety limits—up to 627× over.
Some of these fragments carry SV40 sequences, known for their potential to disrupt DNA and trigger cancer.
The research, led by Dr. David J. Speicher, Dr. Jessica Rose and Kevin McKernan, analyzed 32 vials from 16 unique lots of Pfizer and Moderna injections. Every vial contained billions to hundreds of billions of DNA fragments, many encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles designed to deliver their contents directly into human cells — a factor regulators never considered when setting “safe” DNA limits.
Extreme DNA contamination was observed:

Pfizer doses: 371–1,548 ng of DNA per dose (36–153× the 10 ng FDA/WHO limit)

Moderna doses: 1,130–6,280 ng per dose (112–627× the limit)
The SV40 promoter-enhancer sequences were detected exclusively in Pfizer vials, at levels of 0.25–23.72 ng per dose — elements known to drive genomic integration, activate oncogenes and mutate DNA.
Adverse Events Correlate With Contaminated Lots
Using VAERS data, researchers correlated lot numbers with adverse events. Certain Pfizer lots with the highest DNA contamination also showed extraordinarily high rates of serious adverse events (SAEs), including hospitalizations, life-threatening events, birth defects, and deaths.
For Canadian reports, only vials identified with the country code “CA” were included. Analysis revealed that Canadian lots mirrored global trends, confirming this is not a localized issue — it is systematic and persistent.
No Improvement in New Formulations
The study found that bivalent and XBB.1.5 formulations were still contaminated, proving the problem has not been addressed.
CHD Canada’s Position
For CHD Canada, these findings are unacceptable! Every day that contaminated mRNA injections remain on the market puts the public at risk of insertional mutagenesis, cancer and other genomic harms.
Based on this evidence, we join the scientists in calling for the immediate removal of all contaminated Pfizer and Moderna mRNA injections from Canadian and global markets. Regulatory authorities must take decisive action to protect public health.
